Waiting on God for Revival: Lessons from the Book of Habakkuk
Last autumn we reflected on the subject of ‘Waiting on God’. In this article by Dave, we are considering how we should pray and wait on God specifically for revival. This is particularly relevant in Wales, considered by many to the land of revivals, even though it is 121 years since the great Welsh revival of 1904 began! Despite the passing of time, the weight of expectation mingled with disappointment still sits heavily on many.
In the book of Habakkuk there are valuable lessons for us to learn from a prophet who felt desperate disappointment and disillusionment in all he saw around him yet still broke through in prayer for revival.
